Alfreton Nursery Teaching School Alliance, ‘Better Together’. Our vision is to work collaboratively as an alliance of school support, to ensure all children have access to quality teaching and learning which meets every child’s individual needs.
Welcome to Alfreton Nursery School Teaching School Alliance
Alfreton Nursery School has been consistently outstanding for the past 20 years and was accredited as a National Teaching School in September 2015 in recognition of its hard work and collective drive to constantly raise standards in school. As a lead school, our alliance is made up of 32 schools including Nursery Schools, Schools with an SEN Specialism, Infant Schools, Primary Schools and a Secondary School. Schools in our alliance cover Derbyshire, Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire and Sheffield. Wellbeing and high aspirations for all are key drivers in our work. School support is offered through school visits and Specialist Leaders in Education (SLEs). Please see School to School Support pages on our website for further information.
We are delighted to be able to offer both Primary and Secondary School Direct Teacher Training through our links with DEYTS, the University of Warwick (Primary), David Nieper Academy and Derby University (Secondary). Please contact the school for further information, or visit the Teacher Training area on our website.
