Welcome to Diocese of Middlesbrough Teaching School Alliance

The Diocese of Middlesbrough Teaching School Alliance is an advocate in the belief that schools who work together become stronger.

"We look forward to working with both our existing and future partner schools to build capacity and offer innovative staff development which will benefit pupils and colleagues in all of our schools”.

Fr Wulstan Peterburs OSB, Headmaster of Ampleforth College and Mr Bill Scriven, Headteacher of All Saints RC School, York.

Our Teaching School Alliance will harness the strength and talents of those colleagues within the partner schools to ensure outstanding outcomes for the young people in our care. We offer an extensive range of opportunities through our Alliance including; an Initial Teacher Training Programme, CPD provision for both primary and secondary colleagues and a network of experienced and specialist staff who can put together bespoke School-to-School Support provision for schools as required.

We are an Alliance of primary and secondary schools across the Diocese of Middlesbrough, an area that includes North Yorkshire, Humberside, East Riding and the North East. The Teaching School Alliance is central to a wider vision of Catholic education for the Diocese and a catalyst for wider school improvement strategy.

We are committed to working with existing and new partners. Together our strengths will secure our strong desire to see the Church and State work together to improve educational standards for all. We welcome visits or enquiries from interested parties who share our vision.
