Welcome to Mercia Learning Alliance
Mercia Learning Alliance comes from the designated Teaching School in the alliance; King Ecgbert School but the project is very much a Mercia Trust project with heavily involvement from a partner primary school in the Trust, Nether Edge Primary School which is also a National Support School. We provide the full range of Teaching School projects including a significant ITT role with the University of Sheffield on secondary and the Sheffield SCITT on primary, NQT appropriate body is provided with a growing offer around early career framework, talent spotting and fast track career development, CPD across the career stages including leadership developments- we co-deliver the Sheffield based NPQ offer and a significant school to school support arm with close ties to the development of the MAT. We are a research literate organisation who use research to develop best practice and participate in a range of EEF funded projects. We currently have a SSIF bid pending to support 18 local secondary schools around PP EBacc performance.
